Basic Nursing Skills

In this course, students will gain an understanding of the concepts of health and well being. Principles and techniques of basic nursing care will be discussed and demonstrated by the professor, which will give students the knowledge to support people with developmental disabilities in their in their activities of daily living and prepare students for the first field placement. Skills related to various body systems will be examined and discussed. This course will have both theoretical and practical components.
