Cognitive-Behavioral Strategies in Practice
Description
In this course, students will discover the general principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and then explore cognitive-behavioural strategies for a range of different mental health and substance use issues such as exposure and response prevention for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Other forms of CBT will also be explored such as dialectical behavioural therapy. In addition, “fourth wave” treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy will be examined.
