Disease and The Human Body

This course will examine the body structures and functions and how disease processes affect physical, cognitive, socioemotional functioning. Lifespan development will be explored, considering how delays in development may have implications for leisure participation. Students will explore common medical terminology found in health care and examine presentation of common diseases found in client groups.
