Diversity-Informed Practices
Description
In this course, students will examine various therapeutic and counselling approaches with special consideration to marginalized groups within our society. Students will gain knowledge for working with diverse populations including cultural diversity, indigenous persons, and gender and sexual diversity and how to support people to meet their unique needs. Students will examine some of the barriers that marginalized groups in Canada face when accessing mental health and addictions services.
