Field Work IIA
Description
In this course, students will gain experience in settings that meet the needs of students and/or individuals living with learning needs and disabilities. Students will apply theory, competencies, and skills learned in the classroom in the Developmental Services or Education Sector. Over a 4 week period, students will complete 112 hours of aggregate nonpaid placement in the Developmental Services or Education Sector. Prior to starting Placement, students must present an original copy of a current Criminal Records Check - Vulnerable Sector Screening, Standard First Aid / CPR - Level C certificate, and industry certifications. In addition, students must present their health documentation including up-to-date immunization records, Two-Step TB test, and the completed medical and nonmedical documentation for Paramed.
