Field Work IIB

In this course, students will continue to gain experience in settings that meet the needs of students and individuals living with learning needs and disabilities. Students will continue to apply theory, competencies, and skills learned in the classroom in the Developmental Services or Education Sector. In addition, students will have the opportunity to support inclusion, independence, and autonomy that will enhance the quality of life of students and individuals living with learning needs and disabilities. Over a 4 week period, students will complete 112 hours of aggregate nonpaid placement in the Developmental Services or Educator Sector. Prior to starting Placement, students must present an original copy of a current Criminal Records Check - Vulnerable Sector Screening, Standards First Aid / CPR - Level C certificate, and industry certifications. In addition, students must present their health documentation including up-to-date immunization records, Two-Step TB test, and the completed medical and nonmedical documentation for Paramed.
