Navigator Fundamentals

In this course, students will develop a person-centred and strength-based lens to guide interactions with clients. Students will explore health literacy and practice techniques such as "teach-back." Students will practice documentation which may include writing letters of advocacy and/or case

notes. Students will create care plans and participate in interdisciplinary team care conferences. Professional standards such as confidentiality and privacy will be reinforced throughout the course.
