Recreation Across the Lifespan

Students are introduced to the lifespan stages and how they impact physical, cognitive, social and emotional development in recreation and leisure. Students will also explore how leisure experiences impact the development of family, childhood, and peer relations. The concept of play throughout the lifespan, and how technology impacts recreation and leisure at different life-stages will also be explored. Students examine practical application of the material as it relates to programming leisure and recreation opportunities across the lifespan.
