Site Maintenance and Building Safety
Description
This subject deals with the many aspects of a Facility Manager's role which ensure that the building is maintained in a barrier-free, clean, safe, secure and environmentally sensitive manner, both inside and out. Topics include waste management, recycling programs, handling of hazardous substances, managing costs and services provided by custodial staff, as well as management of issues related to parking, vehicles and building grounds. Compliance with relevant municipal by-laws and provincial/federal legislation is covered.
