Social Determinants of Health

In this course, students will explore the social, political, economic and cultural conditions that impact health and well-being. Students will develop an understanding of how factors such as income, ethnicity, housing, and inclusion influence health outcomes. They will learn strategies for mitigating the negative impacts of social and economic factors experienced by individuals and explore opportunities to influence the broader community/social conditions that contribute to health and well-being.
